Information for Prospective Tutors

WHY SHOULD I JOIN PERSONAL TUTORS?

The service is FREE to tutors.
We are the oldest and largest of the UK tuition agencies and we receive many enquiries from past clients as well as those from current advertising.
We spend much more on advertising than any other agency. Consequently, registered tutors receive many more introductions. In fact, tutors receive an average of more than 50 introductions per year and those offering popular subjects such as maths and English get substantially more.
We do not try to cajole you into accepting any particular student. All we ask is that you advise us promptly if you do not intend to follow up a lead.
If you do not have a CRB Enhanced Disclosure, then as a Registered Body with the CRB we can obtain one for you. Also, as we are in urgent need of more tutors, we are currently not charging our normal £25 administration fee.

In order to maintain the reputation of the Agency, all tutors must have a degree or a certificate from a teacher-training college.

As tutors on our register work on a self-employed basis they are free to agree the actual lesson fee with the client. However, in order to give guidance to both parties, please click here to see the rates recommended by the Agency.

Alternatively, to speed up your application by as many as 5-6 working days, you may submit your details by using our separate on-line tutor application form, or print out the form and post it to us.
